Credentials and safety

Bitunix API keys carry permissions. Issue a key with trading enabled and withdrawals disabled — the bot makes no withdrawal or transfer calls of any kind, so it needs nothing more, and a restricted key means a leaked key cannot drain the account.

Specific risk for this bot

Leveraged perpetuals can liquidate a position faster than a stop can fill, particularly in a thin book or a fast move. Order-book signals are read from a snapshot that can be stale or spoofed by resting size that is pulled before you arrive.

It can lose money, including all of the amount you fund it with. There is no published track record and no guarantee of profit. Start small.

Getting it running

pip install -r requirements.txt
cp .env.sample .env # BITUNIX_API_KEY, BITUNIX_SECRET_KEY, BOT_LICENSE
export $(grep -v '^#' .env | xargs)
python bitunix_bot.py

Credentials are read from the environment. The bot refuses to start without them, and it does not persist state — restarting clears cooldowns and open-position tracking, though positions already on the exchange are re-synced. P&L on exchange-closed positions is estimated, not exact.

Set BOT_LICENSE to the licence string you received. The bot verifies it at startup against https://saylorinnovations.com/api/license/verify and will not run without a valid one.
